Seven days vs. the old way
Peroxide kits work by bleaching. That's why they arrive with trays, a syringe, a blue light, an hour of your evening — and, for a lot of people, a week of teeth that flinch at cold water.

Why we built this
Most whitening you can buy for home is a bleaching kit. Trays, a syringe of gel, a blue light, an hour a night — and for plenty of people, a week of teeth that flinch at cold water.
Purple works on a different principle. On day one it isn't bleaching anything; it's neutralising the yellow optically, the same way a violet toner kills brass in blonde hair. You see it the moment the strip comes off. The stain lifting happens quietly underneath, across the seven days.
We'd rather be specific than impressive. This works on surface staining — coffee, tea, red wine, tobacco. It will not change the colour of a crown, a veneer or a filling, and nothing you can buy for home will. And it isn't a one-application fix. It's seven days, thirty minutes a day, and it works if you actually do all seven.
Everything you need to know
How fast will I actually see something?
Two different things happen on two different timelines. The colour correction is immediate — it's optical, and it's there the first time you peel a strip off. The stain lifting is cumulative, and most people notice it around day four or five.
Do all seven days. Running a second box straight after takes it further, which is what the fourteen-day guidance refers to.
Why is there purple along my gumline?
It happens, and it's worth knowing before it surprises you. A faint violet tint can sit at the gumline after a treatment and usually clears within a day or two. Brushing after you peel the strip off takes most of it straight away.
Practical version: don't run a treatment an hour before you're going out.
My teeth look patchy right after. Is that normal?
Yes. Thirty minutes under a strip dries the enamel out slightly, and dehydrated enamel looks chalky and uneven. It rehydrates on its own within an hour or two and evens back out.
Don't judge the result straight after peeling. Look the next morning.
Will it whiten crowns, veneers or fillings?
No — and neither will anything else you can buy for home use. Dental work holds its colour, so if you whiten the teeth around it, the dental work can end up looking darker by comparison.
If you have visible work on your front teeth, that's a conversation for your dentist before you start, not after.
How do I use them properly?
Dry your teeth. Wipe the front surfaces with a tissue first — this is the step that decides whether the strip stays put.
Longer strip on top, shorter on the bottom. Line it up with your gumline, press along the front, then fold the excess behind your teeth.
Thirty minutes. Then peel from one end and rinse.
Once a day, seven days running. More than once a day doesn't speed it up.
Can I eat or drink with them on?
No — keep your mouth free while they're on, and don't drink anything, water included. It lifts the strip and dilutes the gel.
For the half hour afterwards, skip coffee, tea, red wine and anything dark. Freshly treated enamel picks up colour more readily than usual, so that's the worst possible moment for an espresso.
Will they make my teeth sensitive?
Far less than a peroxide kit — that's most of the point of a colour-correcting formula. Most people report no sensitivity at all.
If you do get twinges, skip a day rather than pushing through, and use a sensitivity toothpaste alongside. If it doesn't settle, stop and speak to your dentist.
Who shouldn't use these?
Not for children. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, check with your dentist first. If you have active braces, wait — strips can't reach under brackets, and you'll get an uneven result when they come off.
And if you have untreated cavities, receding gums or gum disease, see a dentist before whitening anything. This is a cosmetic product, not dental treatment.
